The Pension Fund of Ukraine warns of the risk of loss of seniority and pensions for citizens: details of the situation

According to representatives of the Pension Fund, it is necessary to closely monitor the documents not only when applying for payments, but also during employment. This will help avoid problems in the future.

Due to some mistakes, a number of Ukrainians may be left without pension payments and insurance record. Representatives of the Pension Fund answered how to avoid problems.

It is extremely important to pay attention to the data in the employment record book not only when receiving a pension, but also when a person starts a new job. If mistakes are made there, then certain problems may arise with the amount of payments and the amount of service.

Representatives of the Pension Fund identified the following as the most common mistakes that occur when filling out an employment record book:

  • date; position title; name of the enterprise or company; number and date of the order; signature of the head and his/her full name, seal;
  • changes in the name of the company or its reorganization must be recorded;
  • entries in the employment record book must not be made in “different ink” after the previous entries on hiring or dismissal. Errors must be corrected by a separate record, which must be certified in accordance with the requirements.

It is noteworthy that only employers have the opportunity to make a number of changes to the employment record book, unless they are the ones responsible for the errors. It is also noted that when changing the surname, it is important to correctly indicate the necessary documents and the date of their issue.

By the way, 3 years ago, electronic labor records were introduced in Ukraine. In this regard, employers must send copies of their employees’ work records to the Pension Fund. This should provide complete information on seniority.

Separately, the Pension Fund said that the decision to accrue seniority is made by an official, not an automatic system.
