The Pentagon provided Ukraine with its most accurate GPS-guided Excalibur artillery projectile, – Bloomberg

The US Department of Defense allocated $92 million for the purchase of M982 Excalibur ammunition for Ukraine, which is the country’s most accurate artillery projectile.

This was reported by the Bloomberg agency with reference to the documents regarding the aid package budget.

It is noted that, in total, the US Ministry of Defense allocated $92 million for the purchase of M982 Excalibur ammunition for Ukraine. This became known from the annexes to the aid budget for Ukraine because official representatives of the Pentagon avoid questions on this topic. This money is enough for about 900 shells.

Excalibur 55 mm shells are guided by GPS with an error of up to 2 meters. Range – up to 40.5 km. It is known that Excalibur was first used during the elimination of Al-Qaeda leader Abu Jura and his accomplices in Iraq in 2007.
