The President of Georgia does not rule out the introduction of visas for Russians

The President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, allowed the introduction of visas for Russians. This is reported by “Noviny-Georgia”.

“Citizens of the Russian Federation who got to Georgia are a provocation. I cannot say that this is a danger, but it is clearly a challenge,” Zurabishvili said.

According to Georgian legislation, citizens of the Russian Federation can visit Georgia without visas and stay in the country for up to a year. At the same time, citizens of Georgia can visit Russia after obtaining a visa.

After Putin announced partial mobilization, over 115,000 people crossed Russia’s border with Georgia in one week. Traffic jams also formed on Russia’s borders with Kazakhstan and Finland, tickets for the nearest visa-free flights for Russians of the country were sold out in a few hours.
