At the beginning of July, the Armed Forces of Ukraine knocked out the Russian army from Zmiiny Island. During the retreat, the Russians decided to blow up the equipment, but some survived.
In this regard, the Russian military leadership decided to destroy the remains of the equipment with the help of strike aircraft. In particular, on July 14, two Su-24 bombers struck the island, after which one plane returned to look at the results of the attack.
This is reported by the operational command ‘South’. Whether the enemy managed to achieve the goal is not specified. But the command stressed that there were no losses on the Ukrainian side.
