The staggering amount of ammunition destroyed during 10 months of full-scale war with the Russian Federation was named

The most difficult situation with demining in Kharkiv Oblast.

The State Service of Ukraine for Emergency Situations has published statistics that say the following – since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, the specialists of the service have neutralized almost 310,000 munitions.

So, from February 24, 2022, 769.5 square meters were surveyed and cleaned. km (or 76,950 hectares), on which 309,248 explosive objects were defused, including 2,156 aerial bombs. More than 40,000 pyrotechnicians were involved in the work.

For the previous day, the statistics are as follows: 0.3 square meters were examined and cleaned. km (34 hectares), on which one aerial bomb and 593 units of other dangerous objects were neutralized. The works were carried out by 97 pyrotechnicians.

In general, according to the State Emergency Service, there are currently 174,000 square meters left in Ukraine. km of potentially dangerous territories – and this is 30% of the total territory of Ukraine.

As Oleksandr Khorunzhiy, the spokesman of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, told in an interview with ‘UNIAN’, the most difficult situation with demining (we are talking about de-occupied territories) is in Kharkiv Oblast – since September, about 1,600 hectares have been demined, on which more than 50,000 explosive objects have been found.
