On December 20, the United States sent fifth-generation F-22 Raptor fighters to South Korea to participate in joint exercises. But the weather had its own plans for this.

The United States and South Korea have decided to cancel exercises involving the F-22 Raptor, F-35A Lightning II and F-15K Eagle fighters. The reason was the snowfall. The training was scheduled for December 21.
As a result, the American planes returned to the Kadena air base in Japan, where they are a temporary replacement for the fourth-generation F-15 Eagle fighters, which are being retired.
Note that on December 20, the B-52H Stratofortress nuclear bomber went to South Korea together with the F-22 Raptor. It was in response to North Korea launching two ballistic missiles over the weekend. The plane of strategic aviation, apparently, remains in South Korea.
