NATO exercises will take place there, in which 9,000 servicemen of the USA, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain and Sweden will take part. Ford, who served in the Navy during World War II aboard the light aircraft carrier Monterey. The aircraft carrier was built by Northrop Grumman. Its construction began on August 11, 2005. USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78) was launched in 2013, and entered service with the US Navy in May 2017, replacing USS Enterprise (CVN-65). According to estimates of various analysts, the cost of the ship cost the Ministry of Defense $13-17.5 billion.
