The USS Carl Vinson nuclear-powered aircraft carrier arrives in South Korea. The reason was the constant nuclear and missile threats from North Korea.

This was reported by the Yohnap news agency, citing the southern navy.

The ship arrived at the naval base in Busan on November 21, a few hours after Pyongyang informed Japan of its plan to launch a space rocket in the coming days.

This will be the DPRK’s third attempt to launch a military spy satellite into orbit in 2023.

“The visit of the US Carrier Strike Group 1 demonstrates the strong joint defense posture of the South Korea-U.S. alliance and the firm determination to respond to North Korea’s looming nuclear and missile threats,” said Rear Admiral Kim Ji-hoon.

The Carl Vinson aircraft carrier last docked in South Korea in 2017 and is the third American ship to visit the country this year, after the Nimitz and Ronald Reagan warships.
