The WHO warns that the world is experiencing a sharp jump in the incidence of COVID-19

The World Health Organization has reported a 52% increase in COVID-19 cases over the course of almost a month.

It is noted that the number of new cases in the world increased by 52% from November 20 to December 17, 2023, compared to the previous similar period, when more than 850 thousand cases were registered of new cases.

At the same time, the number of new deaths decreased by 8% compared to the previous 28-day period.

“As of December 17, 2023, more than 772 million confirmed cases and nearly seven million deaths have been reported worldwide,” the report says.
