The world’s first car with a lifetime warranty (photo)

The Hengchi 5 electric car with a range of 600 km costs about $26,700, but is currently only available for purchase in China.

The sale of the new electric crossover Hengchi 5 has been launched in China. The manufacturer China Evergrande Group gives the car a lifetime warranty and free maintenance.

The cost of an electric car in China is 179,000 yuan ($26,700). The manufacturer plans to expand the sale of the new product to other countries in case of sales of more than 1 million cars.

The electric car is characterized by a modern design with elements of a sporty style. It has a streamlined body, a narrow line of glazing, arrow-shaped LED headlights, a bumper with a massive air intake, wide wheel arches, a contrasting roof, large wheels and retractable door handles.

Hengchi 5 is driven by an electric motor with a capacity of 204 hp. Acceleration up to 100 km. takes 7.8 seconds. The range is 600 km, which is provided by a 72.8 kWh battery.

Three displays are installed in the crossover cabin, two of which are 10.25 inches, and the third is 14.6 inches. There’s also a flat-bottom sports steering wheel, a slot for wireless smartphone charging, and sports seats. The Hengchi 5 is also equipped with an L2 autonomous driving system called Hengchi H-Pilot.

Along with it, the automaker offers a home fast charging station, as well as five years of free 5G Internet use.
