The XPeng Voyager X2 unmanned air taxi will fly with passengers for the first time in October

In October, the XPeng company will show its Voyager X2 unmanned air taxi, which has been in development for almost 10 years, at an exhibition in Dubai.

The XPeng Voyager X2 will make its first flight with passengers on board as part of the Gitex Global Technology exhibition. The event will be held in Dubai from October 10 to 14, 2022. The company claims that the unmanned air taxi is almost ready to be put into operation.

Voyager X2 will perform several demonstration flights at the exhibition in Dubai. XPeng has already received all the permits from the city’s Civil Aviation Department.

Voyager X2 is an unmanned air taxi equipped with eight electric motors. The development of the aircraft began in 2013. During this time, the air taxi managed to perform 15,000 test flights, but without passengers.

Voyager X2 can reach speeds of up to 230 km/h and fly at an altitude of up to 1 km. A full charge of the battery is enough for 35 minutes of flight. The air taxi weighs 360 kg, and the cabin seats three passengers. Three touch screens are used for navigation and multimedia.
