They danced on the graves of fallen Ukrainian soldiers. Police detain two girls (photos, video)

In Kyiv, police arrested two sisters who organized dances on the graves of fallen soldiers at the Lisove cemetery.

On August 24, around 18:00, police officers monitoring social media noticed a video of two girls dancing on the graves of fallen soldiers at a cemetery in Kyiv.

Having discovered the violation, operatives of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Kyiv Police together with analysts of the Kyiv Main Department began working on the case. They immediately passed the description of the girls to all the police officers on duty. In less than an hour, law enforcement officers managed to identify and detain the sisters.

Investigators of the Desnianskyi Police Department, together with the District Prosecutor’s Office, opened criminal proceedings under Article 297, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – desecration of a grave. The issue of serving suspicion notices to the individuals is currently being resolved.

The defendants face restriction of liberty for a term of three to five years or imprisonment for the same term.
