Three companies are working on the creation of vehicles for NASA to explore new objects on the Moon

NASA has announced that three companies – Intuitive Machines, Lunar Outpost, and Venturi Astrolab – are developing their own lunar vehicles (LTVs).

These vehicles for the Artemis mission will allow astronauts to explore the south pole of the Moon, where there may be water. NASA’s plans include long expeditions during which astronauts will study different regions of the Moon.

The LTVs will be designed to overcome extreme conditions on the Moon, cold and problems associated with dust material on the surface. Each of the companies will explore opportunities to develop vehicles.

The creation and application of these new LTV vehicles in Artemis will be an important step in preparing for future crewed missions in the 2030s.
