Three ‘People’s Bayraktars’, for which Ukrainians collected money, have already been delivered to Ukraine

Three Bayraktar TB2 attack drones, the money for which was collected by the Serhiy Prytula Foundation and blogger Ihor Lachenkov and which the Turkish company Baykar decided to give to Ukrainians, were successfully delivered to Ukraine. This was confirmed by Baykar General Director Haluk Bayraktar of Ukrinform at the International Defense Industry Exhibition (MSPO 2022).

“We delivered to Ukraine Bayraktar from the Lithuanian stock and have already delivered three Bayraktar drones from the Prytula stock. They are already in Ukraine” – Halyuk Bayraktar, general director of Baykar Makina

At the end of June, Ukrainians donated 600 million hryvnias in three days for Bayraktar TB2 drones (“People’s Bayraktar” project) – the collection was organized by the Serhiy Prytula Foundation together with Ukrainian blogger Igor Lachenkov. Shortly after, the Turkish manufacturer Baykar Makina announced the transfer of three drones without payment. On August 24, Prytula published a photo of three ready-made Bayraktar TB2s from the Narodniy Bayraktar group and confirmed their quick transfer to Ukraine.

Bayraktar TB2 drones from the “People’s Bayraktar” group are distinguished by a special marking – ornamented embroidery. This was intended from the very beginning and will help distinguish them in future video reports of the Ministry of Defense.

These new embroidered Bayraktar TB2s will join others (at the end of June, the Ministry of Defense reported that it had received about fifty Turkish Bayraktar TB2 drones and contracted dozens more) and will be a valuable addition to the SAR satellite and annual access to the ICEYE satellite constellation database, which the Serhiy Prytula Foundation purchased with money saved from “people’s byraktars”.

Meanwhile, Baykar is preparing to test the Kızılelma, the latest supersonic unmanned fighter jet, which will also be produced at the future Ukrainian plant.
