The plan is to make it a multifunctional commercial vehicle that will perform a variety of jobs: from ambulance, mobile coffee shop to flatbed truck or fire truck.
It is expected that the new product will be tested in the Indonesian market, where there is a great demand for such vehicles. This decision was made after the Japanese automaker brought the concept to Jakarta for the Gaikindo International Motor Show. Local entrepreneurs liked the general cargo operator so much that it prompted Toyota to move from concept to mass production. The law of business says: if there is demand, seize the moment!
The Japanese will produce the Toyota Rangga in cooperation with local manufacturers of special bodies. The Rangga is intended to be a versatile commercial vehicle that will allow Toyota to offer business customers a ready-to-use chassis for any body.
In all renderings that represent potential uses of the model, it is shown with a standard short cab and various add-ons for future use.
However, Toyota did not provide details, briefly announcing the production of a commercial Rangga in Indonesia for the local market. However, the managers of the Japanese brand are not short on ingenuity: they have launched a global competition for potential applicants and creative designers to envision the future of this car. The winner will receive a substantial prize, in terms of the Ukrainian national currency, it will be about 240.7 thousand hryvnias.
The fact that the model will be in demand is evidenced by a special meeting on the subject, which had to bring together representatives of local conversion companies to negotiate with potential buyers.
