Turkey will host international aviation exercises involving NATO elements

Turkey will host the Anatolian Eagle 2022 international exercise, which will be attended by units of the Air Force and Navy of the Turkish Armed Forces, the Air Force of Azerbaijan, Great Britain, Pakistan, Jordan, NATO elements will be involved, 13 more countries will join as observers.

The Anatolian Eagle 2022 International Exercise will be held from June 20 to July 1, 2022 at the 3rd High Jet Command in Konya. Azerbaijan, Britain, Jordan, Pakistan, the Turkish Air Force and Navy and NATO elements will take part in the exercise,” – the newspaper said.

In addition, the Anatolian Eagle-2022 international training will be conducted in conjunction with one of NATO’s Ramstein DUST-2022/2 exercises (RADU 22-2).

Observers will be sent to Bulgaria, Chad, Ethiopia, South Africa, Georgia, Qatar, Northern Macedonia, Kosovo, Libya, Malaysia, Tunisia, Uzbekistan, and Oman.

The purpose of the exercises is to increase the level of operational training of pilots, air defense personnel and air traffic controllers, test and develop joint and combined methods of action, minimize losses in real operational conditions and maximize the effectiveness of tasks in an environment close to real operations.
