Turkish company Baykar Makina presented a new UAV with a Ukrainian engine

The Turkish company Baykar Makina, which created the famous Bayraktar drone, presented a new prototype of a combat UAV. It will be called Kızılelma and will be equipped with Ukrainian engines.

Earlier, a statement about the first prototype of the new drone appeared on the company’s website. The National Unmanned Aerial Systems (MIUS) was named Kızılelma (“red apple”).

“MUIS will be equipped with a jet engine and expected to be able to take off and land on Turkey’s flagship landing craft TCG Anadolu (under construction),” – the statement said.

It is worth noting that this drone will be the company’s first jet drone. The platform will fly at supersonic speeds at high altitudes. The first flight previously scheduled for 2023.
