Two British Navy vessels collide in the Persian Gulf (video)
Two minesweepers of the British Navy collided in the port of Bahrain.
This is reported by UK Defence Journal with reference to the UK Navy spokesman.
“We are aware of the incident with two minesweepers in Bahrain. There were no casualties as a result of this incident and it would be inappropriate to comment further as the investigation is ongoing,” the spokesman said.
Judging by the video of the incident, one of the ships reversed and rammed another one that was standing near the pier. There is currently no reliable information on the extent of the damage.

We are talking about the vessels Chiddingfold and Bangor, which search for mines in the sea and carry out coastal patrols. Their body is made of plastic, which contributes to mine-resistant operation. The sonars on board both vessels are capable of detecting an object the size of a football at a distance of 1000 meters.
“This allows them to clear mines, allowing larger vessels to pass,” the UK Defense Journal said.
