Two Ukrainian FPV drones destroyed a modern Russian S-350 Vityaz air defense system worth over $135,000,000 (video)
Soldiers of the 11th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine destroyed a Russian S-350 Vityaz air defense system in Kherson region using two FPV drones.
A video of the destruction of the complex was posted by volunteer, activist and blogger Serhiy Sternenko. The drones managed to completely destroy one anti-aircraft missile launcher and damage another. The export value of one SAM launcher is more than $135,000,000. This is the most expensive target ever destroyed by FPV drones.
The S-350 Vityaz is a new generation of Russian medium-range anti-aircraft missile system. It is designed to engage aerodynamic and ballistic targets at ranges over 120 km. According to the manufacturer, the system is put on alert in 5 minutes.
