UK invests 200 million pounds in manufacturing drones for Ukraine to combat Russian aggression

The United Kingdom will allocate 200 million pounds to manufacture drones for the Ukrainian military, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said during a press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv on January 12, Evropeiska Pravda reports.

This aid package includes reconnaissance drones, long-range attack drones, and FPV drones that will be used to combat Russian forces and reduce risks to Ukrainian exports across the Black Sea.

The source also notes that these drones will be manufactured in Ukraine, but the details are not disclosed.

This will be the largest package of drones that Ukraine has received from any country. According to Sunak, since the beginning of the war, the UK has provided almost 12 billion pounds in aid to Ukraine. Although Sunak avoided answering the question about the use of these drones to hit military targets in Russia, he noted that some operational details remain confidential.
