The Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine is developing a robot to evacuate wounded soldiers from the battlefield. This was reported by the deputy head of the department, Hanna Hvozdyar, in an interview with Radio Liberty.

According to her, Ukraine should be more technologically advanced than Russia. Moreover, in addition to various UAVs, there are a lot of other ground-based solutions that are currently being developed. Drones can be used to solve a large number of tasks, such as delivering ammunition or food.

In addition, Hvozdyar said, work is underway on a robot to evacuate a wounded soldier from the battlefield.

“We are now looking for a robotic solution that would allow a robot to evacuate a wounded person at least for a short distance, pull him out of heavy fire, and thus save the medics,” Hvozdyar said.

She noted that medics endanger their lives when they try to evacuate the wounded. Therefore, the official suggested, the robots will eventually become indispensable assistants to military personnel on the battlefield.

“This is a definite plus: where there is no person at the front and something is fulfilling its task, a person cannot get hurt,” the deputy minister emphasized.
