Ukraine launches mass production of Ratel S kamikaze robots
Mykhailo Fedorov announced the completion of field tests of the Ratel S ground robotic platform. It was designed by Ukrainian specialists under the auspices of the Brave 1 cluster.
According to the information released by the head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Ratel S is a kamikaze robot designed to destroy various targets on the battlefield. Judging by the photo, the robotic platform has a niche for placing an anti-tank mine. In addition, the robot can be used in tandem with mortar shells.
The Ukrainian military uses Ratel S mainly as a “mobile warhead”. At the same time, the robot also supports the installation of a combat module. The minister did not specify the type of weapons used in the combat module.
In the video he posted, you can see field tests of the robotic platform. Objective control is carried out using a UAV. Unfortunately, the head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation did not say anything about the robot’s passability.
Here is a 🇺🇦-made kamikaze robot that will soon rock Russians. Ratel S carries anti-tank mines & combat module. So, the operator can blow up the enemy’s equipment from a safe location. Ratel S has already passed field tests and is in mass production. One more tech supported by @BRAVE1ua. pic.twitter.com/dqtS1WVUjW
