Ukraine plans to build a Starlink ground station

The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine plans to build its own Starlink ground station from SpaceX in Ukraine.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Digital.

“After the victory, together with Elon Musk, we plan to build our own Starlink ground station to improve the quality of satellite Internet for all Ukrainians,” – the statement said.

On February 28, the first batch of Starlink satellite Internet stations from the American company SpaceX arrived in Ukraine and arrived in Ukraine.

Starlink is a project by the American company SpaceX to develop a high-performance satellite platform for the production of communications satellites and the launch of large numbers of them into space. The system provides access to broadband Internet anywhere in the world.

After the start of the war in Ukraine, Elon Musk opened access to the Starlink network in Ukraine and sent an unprecedented number of satellite terminals to connect to the network. These terminals currently used by government agencies, the Armed Forces, hospitals, and strategic infrastructure facilities of Ukraine.

Russia, in response, tried to hack Mask’s satellite Internet with the help of hackers, but failed.
