Ukraine tests innovative robots for evacuation of wounded (video)
Ukraine conducted demonstration tests of unmanned ground evacuation platforms.
This was announced by Yaroslav Oliynyk, a representative of the Ministry of Strategic Industries.
It is reported that after the tests, the doctors chose several samples of platforms that suit them.
The tests were attended by various platforms with different specifications designed to perform different tasks.
Oliynyk did not disclose their names, adding that they all combine ease of manufacture and operation, affordable price, ease of transportation, and multifunctionality.
One of the products was presented by a 14-year-old boy who developed the platform with his father. Despite his age, the guy made a detailed presentation of the product – a tracked stretcher platform.
It is lightweight, inexpensive, has a simple design, can be moved independently or with the help of a person, fits easily into the trunk of a car, and is easy to operate.
Another product malfunctioned during the forest belt passage, after which repairability tests were carried out, the result was 53 seconds. During the tests, another criterion was determined – the speed of repair.
“The manufacturers communicated completely openly and even suggested solutions to each other. Zero competition – only cooperation. This made me realize that they all have one goal in mind – to produce and deliver as many robotic medevacs to the frontline as possible, and they are ready to work together to achieve this. It’s incredibly inspiring, I’m proud of each of them,” Oliynyk commented on the challenge.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade concluded that such tests need to be conducted more frequently and under more stringent conditions. For example, next time we plan to test the products on more difficult routes and under the influence of electronic warfare.
In January, Militarnyi told you about the domestic robotic platform Murakha. It was named so because it weighs 350 kilograms but can carry a ton of cargo.
The remote-controlled device can cover a distance of up to 15 kilometers or more. The Murakha complex consists of 80% Ukrainian-made parts.
