Ukraine will soon receive an additional Iris-T air defense system from the manufacturer
On April 18, Helmut Rauch, CEO of the defense company Diehl Defense, announced the delivery of an additional Iris-T air defense system to Ukraine.
This was reported by Bild.
Rauch and German Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck arrived in Kyiv today. According to Mr. Habeck, this visit is evidence of Germany’s continued support for Ukraine.
“If Putin succeeds in his war in Ukraine, he will continue. Therefore, it is important for our security and peace in Europe that Ukraine successfully defends itself and that we help it,” the Vice Chancellor said.
In turn, Rauch announced the transfer of an additional Iris-T system to Ukraine.
“Three of our systems are already in Ukraine, and more will be delivered this year. The next one is coming in just a few weeks,” he said.
The German delegation intends to meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, and Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko.
