Ukrainian Armed Forces demonstrate combat use of DPICM cluster munitions for the first time (video)
The Telegraph journalists published a video with artillerymen from the 14th Brigade. It shows the combat use of DPICM cluster munitions. To fire DPICMs, Ukrainian soldiers use the American M109 assault rifle.
For the first time, artillerymen of the 79th Separate Airmobile Brigade used high-explosive shells in Krasnohorivka. They used them to strike at the occupiers’ positions in the Pokrovsk district.
According to US Defense Department spokesman John Kirby, the use of cluster munitions affected the maneuvers of Russian troops. He called the use of DPICM ammunition by the Ukrainian Armed Forces “quite effective.” The military noted that the Pentagon has already received feedback from Ukrainians. The data available to the military department indicates that the advance of Ukrainian troops has accelerated thanks to DPICM shells.
