Ukrainian Armed Forces destroy a rare self-propelled bomb launcher RBU-6000 (video)

The Ukrainian military destroyed a rare Russian RBU-6000 truck-based rocket launcher.

The video was published by the press service of the 45th separate artillery brigade.

The footage, taken by the unit’s aerial reconnaissance, shows the movement of a truck with an RBU-6000 bomb launcher.

It was designed to be installed on surface ships and destroy submarines.

However, due to the lack of artillery systems on the front line, the Russians began to install naval weapons on land vehicles.

The self-propelled bomber was discovered in close cooperation with the 80th separate airborne assault brigade.

The installation was destroyed in the temporarily occupied city of Bakhmut, Donetsk region, at coordinates 48.577383, 37.993591.

The RBU-6000 is installed on trucks, MT-LB transporters and tanks.

The first photos with the bomb on the MT-LB were published in September 2013.

Later, they also published a photo of a bomber mounted on a T-80B tank, which probably belongs to a Russian Navy marine unit.

But the Russians didn’t stop there and installed it on a Ural truck that was spotted in the temporarily occupied Alchevsk, Luhansk region.

A photo of this installation was published in January 2024.
