Ukrainian Armed Forces detect and destroy occupants’ artillery with a UAV (video)

The Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to destroy a Russian D-30 howitzer using a drone.

According to Ukrainian soldiers, aerial reconnaissance revealed enemy artillery positions. After that, they used strike unmanned aerial vehicles. The attack resulted in the destruction of a D-30 howitzer.

The exact direction of the front is not specified. The video shows the process of preparation for the use of the BPAK and the moment when the gun was hit by Russian troops.

The D-30 howitzer is a 122 mm trailed artillery system that was developed in the USSR in the late 1950s and put into service in the early 1960s. It is in service in 35 countries, not including the former Soviet Union, and there are about 3,600 such guns in the world. The D-30 howitzer is one of the most massive artillery systems of the postwar period and is popularly nicknamed “Frog”.
