Ukrainian Armed Forces show training on Leopard 2A6 tank (video)
The 47th Brigade is equipped with the most advanced Leopard 2A6 modification of the tanks supplied by our partners. Ukraine received the vehicles from the German and Portuguese authorities. The brigade’s press service posted footage of tankers training on Facebook.
Training at the training grounds is conducted between battles. They allow tank crews to hone their skills. The video shows a pair of Leopard 2A6s practicing rapid retreat, target practice, and maneuvers on the battlefield. According to the tankers, the power of the power plant installed in the German tank is 1,500 hp. с. A powerful engine allows it to maneuver actively. In reverse, the Leopard 2A6 moves much faster than the Soviet T-64 and T-72.
Leopard 2A6 is a further development of Leopard 2. The machine is equipped with modern optics and a more powerful L55 tool. The tank received reinforced armor on the bottom of the body and tower. It boasts excellent ergonomics and a high level of protection for crew members.
