Ukrainian Armed Forces start using Jump 20 UAVs to launch Switchblade
Operators of the Russian Tor missile system detect a Ukrainian drone. They identified it as Jump 20. These UAVs are supplied to the Ukrainian army by AeroVironment.
The photo of the aircraft was published on Telegram by journalists of the propaganda media Mash. It shows the silhouette of a drone similar to Jump 20.
Anti-aircraft gunners claim that the American drone was carrying launch containers with Switchblade barrage munitions. Launching from a high altitude extends the range of the Switchblade. When a ground target is detected by the Jump 20 camera, the operator launches a barrage munition.
The Switchblade 300 weighs 2.5 kg with the PSU. The drone can stay in flight for up to 40 minutes. If a ground launcher is used to launch the UAV, its flight range will be 10 km. It is not reported how much it will increase when launching a barrage munition from Jump 20.
