Ukrainian Armed Forces use a very rare “female” tank showman T-80UE-1, which was captured from the Russian army (video)
The Ukrainian Armed Forces captured many Russian tanks. One of them is the T-80UE-1. This is a very rare modification of the Soviet T-80 combat vehicle.
Last year, the media reported on the capture of such a tank. According to Oryx analysts, the Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to take at least four T-80UE-1s from the Russians, and at least two more combat vehicles were destroyed.
This month, a video was released showing the T-80UE-1 in the hands of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The tank was put into service with a separate mechanized brigade along with the T-80. They are equipped with Relict and Kontakt dynamic protection systems.
#Ukraine: What appears to be a very rare T-80UE-1 tank was abandoned by the Russian army in now UA-controlled Trostianets, #Sumy Oblast.
According to @kemal_115, this is the third tank of this type to be lost by Russian forces in Ukraine.

The T-80UE-1 is nicknamed the “showman” because it often participates in military shows and exhibitions. At such events, the tank can perform acrobatic stunts, but when it comes to real combat conditions, it is no different from other armored vehicles.
In addition, the T-80UE-1 is called a “female” tank. This is because the women’s crews participated in a Russian competition called tank biathlon.
