Ukrainian Armed Forces Use Bayraktar TB2 for the First Time to Attack Krasnodar Territory
Today, the SHOT TV channel released a rather interesting video. It depicts a drone flying over a populated area. Judging by the sounds, they tried to hit him with small arms.
The information published in Russian public domain suggests that the UAV belongs to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He attacked the city of Sochi. At the time of writing, no official statements have been made by the Ukrainian or Russian sides. The Russian Ministry of Defense traditionally reported that the drone was destroyed by “regular air defense means.”
According to SHOT, the Ukrainian military used a Bayraktar drone to attack a helicopter parking lot in Sochi. The takeoff weight of the tactical UAV is 650 kg. It is capable of accelerating to 222 km/h.
This week, the Ukrainian capital hosted a defense industry forum. It was attended by Haluk Bayraktar, who is the head of the Turkish company Baykar. He promised to invest USD 100 million in the construction of a drone manufacturing plant.
