Characteristics of “Nona-C”

The Nona-S artillery system is designed to provide direct fire support to airborne troops on the battlefield. The self-propelled artillery system can be transported from military transport aircraft such as An-12, Il-76, An-70, An-22, An-124.

It is armed with a 120-mm smoothbore gun 2A51. The capabilities of this gun allow it to be used not only to destroy manpower and destroy enemy defenses. It is also capable of fighting tanks. The combat vehicle uses special high-explosive fragmentation artillery shells with a ready-made cut. This ammunition allows the vehicle to fire at a range of up to 8.7 km. Additional armament includes a man-portable air defense system, a man-portable air defense system, and three RPG-18 Mukha anti-tank rocket grenades. The armor width is 2,630 mm. The vehicle’s speed is 60 km/h.

As a reminder, on April 19, the Marines destroyed the Russians using the Nona self-propelled artillery system in Donetsk region. The video shows the crew of the artillery vehicle preparing to work on the positions of the invaders. After the gunner signals that the shells are ready to fire, the commander gives the order to fire. Subsequently, the defenders send a fatal fiery salute to the enemy.

Also on April 12, the terrorist defense fighters demonstrated a spectacular destruction of a Russian Nona self-propelled artillery system near Bakhmut. A unit of the 112th Kyiv Territorial Defense Brigade, together with the Adam Combined Tactical Group, is effectively fighting the invaders’ equipment.
