Ukrainian company MacPaw has created an application to detect Russian software on your computers
The developers of MacPaw, based in Kiev, presented a special application that can detect the presence of programs related to Russia in one way or another. It works on macOS computers.
As specified by Channel 24 in the company, a separate Technological R&D team within MacPaw is behind the development and this is its volunteer project. The new program is free and is called SpyBuster. You can download it from this link.

- SpyBuster is designed for computers running macOS, Apple’s operating system.
- Everything works very simply: the app scans your device and detects those programs and services that have connections with Russia and Belarus. If you want, you can delete them right here.
- Applications are classified as undesirable based on a verified list that the development team has compiled independently, as well as on the package ID and other characteristics.
- SpyBuster also allows you to learn about connecting programs and sites to Russian and Belarusian servers in real time using the Dynamic Analysis function. If the app detects such activity, you will receive a notification and can immediately block potentially dangerous connections.
Another goal of SpyBuster is to warn Ukrainian sites and media about possible connections of their sites to servers in Russia and Belarus.
