Ukrainian naval unmanned ship MAGURA V5 presented at IDEF 2023
A new Ukrainian maritime unmanned vehicle MAGURA V5 was presented at the International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF 2023) in Turkey, reports Industrial Portal.
The MAGURA V5 is a new generation of multi-purpose unmanned surface vessel.
It is designed to perform a variety of tasks, including:
- Observations;
- Intelligence;
- Patrolling;
- Search and rescue operations;
- Mine action;
- Protection of the maritime fleet.
Characteristics of the new Ukrainian marine unmanned vehicle MAGURA V5
The MAGURA V5 has a length of 5.5 m, a width of 1.5 m and a height above the waterline of 500 mm.
The vehicle is also capable of reaching a cruising speed of 22 knots, and its maximum speed is 42 knots. The flight range is 450 nautical miles, which is approximately 833 km, and the payload can reach 320 kg.
To communicate with MAGURA V5, a mesh radio with an airborne repeater or satellite communication is used.
