Ukrainian Novator armored vehicle receives new weapon: Tavria combat module

Ukrainian Armor has conducted field tests of its new 10-seat Novator vehicle with the Tavria 14.5 combat module. A remote-controlled turret with a 14.5 mm KPVT machine gun was mounted on the roof of the armored vehicle.

The stabilization system allows for efficient firing on the move. The optoelectronic module provides target detection with a distance of up to 5 km. The ammunition consists of 200 rounds. The combat module has a ballistic protection level of Level 1 according to STANAG 4569.

The new version of the Novator armored vehicle is 10 cm longer and has a fully enclosed body that can accommodate up to 10 people. The curb weight is 9660 kg and the payload is 3340 kg.

The Ford F-550 chassis was reinforced. Instead of springs, the rear suspension received leaf springs, two shock absorbers, and pneumatic cylinders that allow you to adjust the stiffness and ground clearance.

Under the hood, there is a 6.7-liter V-8 with an output of 300 hp, which is paired with an automatic transmission with 6 or 10 speeds. The maximum speed of the armored vehicle is 135 km/h.
