Ukrainian troops destroy third unit of rare Russian equipment

The aggressor’s army throws very rare equipment into the battle, sometimes in the number of units. One of these vehicles was recently destroyed by the Ukrainian military, according to the Information Resistance columnist Oleksandr Kovalenko’s Twitter account.

According to the expert, this is an armored maintenance vehicle BREM-L on the BMP-3 highway.

The BREM-L project started in the eighties of the last century. The presentation of the prototype took place in the early nineties, but the Russian military was very cool about the concept, and as a result, mass production of the armored tow truck never began. Almost all of the BREM-L samples produced at that time were sold to Venezuela and the UAE.

The main purpose of the BREM-L is to evacuate broken equipment under enemy fire. In addition, the machine is used for towing, repairing and maintaining equipment, as well as for transporting various goods on a special platform.

The BREM-L destroyed the day before was the third vehicle of this type to meet an ignominious end in the war in Ukraine. The use of artificial samples from 30 years ago indicates significant losses of Russians and the lack of sufficient evacuation equipment, the expert summarized.
