Ukrainians entered the top 10 most generous nations in the world in 2022. The rating of charity was published by the authoritative British charity Charities Aid Foundation.

Countries were evaluated according to the criteria of helping strangers, the number of donations and the number of volunteers.

They note that Ukraine took 10th place in the list of 119 countries. Charitable activities in 2021 were analyzed. Since then, during the war, the numbers of donations and involvement of volunteers could increase significantly.

Indonesia tops the ranking for the fifth year in a row. In this country, 84% of residents transfer funds to charitable or religious organizations.

People in Kenya and the USA actively help strangers. The top ten also included Australia, New Zealand, Myanmar, Sierra Leone, Canada, Zambia and Ukraine.

According to the report, 75% of Ukrainians helped strangers, 47% made donations, and 24% volunteered.

Only 23% of people in the world volunteered last year.
