Volunteers start selecting stocks at AvtoKrAZ

Two pieces of specialized domestic-made equipment were purchased by the Come Back Alive Foundation: an armored KrAZ Spartan vehicle and a fuel tanker on the KrAZ chassis were presented to the mechanized brigade liberating Kharkiv region.

They paid UAH 10,230,000 for the armored vehicle and UAH 4,900,000 for the fuel tanker, for a total of UAH 15,130,000. Both cars were purchased by the foundation from the Kremenchuk Automobile Plant’s stock. The equipment was manufactured before the outbreak of full-scale war.

According to the press service of the charity, the armored personnel carrier has an armored body, bulletproof windows and a mine-proof bottom. The all-wheel drive vehicle complies with the CEN Level BR6 standard, which provides protection against fire from 7.62×51 NATO caliber ammunition from 30 meters.

“The Spartan with a 400-horsepower diesel engine belongs to the class of armored vehicles designed to transport personnel in conditions of increased danger.

According to the passport, it is capable of carrying eight people (2+6) – the commander in front of the driver and the soldiers on the longitudinal benches on the port and starboard sides. However, an armored vehicle usually takes ten people.

The engine niche is occupied by a 6.7-liter turbodiesel V8 with 400 horsepower. It consumes 30-35 liters of diesel fuel when driving on soft ground and off-road.

A two-axle all-wheel drive tanker for transportation and temporary storage of petroleum products, as well as refueling other vehicles, has also arrived for a mechanized brigade fighting in Kharkiv region.

The special vehicle with a superstructure on the 300-horsepower KrAZ-5233NE all-terrain chassis has a 4×4 wheel configuration. A tank with an internal volume of 6.5 cubic meters is installed on its frame. m, which takes only 21 minutes to fill with diesel or gasoline.
