Dynamic protection is installed on the tank, and it is also changed from the inside. It was the T-64 that was the main battle tank of the Armed Forces of Ukraine before the start of the full-scale war.

The Ukrainian Defense Industry Joint Stock Company showed photos of a T-64 tank that has been repaired and modernized. The photos were published in the official telegram channel on June 8.

The T-64 is a Soviet tank developed in Kharkiv. The footage shows the condition of the tank. Probably, it was removed from the collection. The vehicle has no dynamic protection, and in general, its condition is far from combat-ready. However, the engineers were able to restore the tank. Visually, it is noticeable that they have installed a dynamic defense “Knife” or “Duplet”, a communication antenna and a machine gun. Most likely, there are also significant changes inside the tank, because it is unlikely that the machine could have kept all the elements in good condition, and if it could, they are already outdated.

Earlier, UkrOboronProm showed how a BMP-2 damaged in combat is being restored. Despite the punctured hull and other damage, the engineers were able to restore the infantry fighting vehicle.

On June 6, the Czech Ministry of Defense announced that the modernization and repair of T-64 tanks at VOP CZ would begin soon.

On April 7, Poland announced the opening of a center for the repair of Ukrainian T-64s. The work is being carried out at Bumar-Labędy.
