As a reminder, the company announced that it would create special women’s compartments after a public discussion and petition.
Women, trans women, and mothers with children under six years of age of either sex will be allowed in such women’s compartments. But “this dialog is still open.”
“Women’s compartments or cars exist in some Asian countries and have been tested in Europe. We believe in a set of measures where panic buttons and alarms in compartments, video surveillance, increased patrolling and inevitable punishment for any proven harassment will play a key role in eradicating this phenomenon.
