ULAQ marine drones will be produced in two versions

The ULAQ naval drones will soon be in service with the Turkish Navy. They were developed by engineers of the Turkish companies Meteksan and Ares Shipyard.

From the information published on the ULAQ Global website, it follows that the drones will be produced in two modifications: ASuW and ASW. With similar technical characteristics, they will differ from each other in terms of armament.

The ASuW drone carries four 70 mm Cirit missiles and two UMTAS anti-tank missiles. The latter are capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 8 km. ASuW drones will be used to gather intelligence, destroy surface objects and shore targets.

The AWS drone is designed for anti-submarine warfare. It is armed with anti-submarine missiles. Optionally, the drone can be equipped with light torpedoes.

Specifications:

  • Armament system: 12.7-mm.
  • Speed: 70 km/h.
  • Range: 400 km.
  • Equipment: submersible sonar, sonar with antenna and telescopic sonar.

Both modifications support satellite communication and can work in tandem with UAVs.
