UN caught in a loud scandal over secret talks with Putin

The UN "fell for" Russia's blackmail.

Is the United Nations planning a massive undermining of Russia’s sanctions so that dictator Putin will once again allow Ukrainian grain exports?

This is reported by BILD.

Almost two months have passed since Russia withdrew from the so-called Black Sea Initiative to allow unimpeded exports of Ukrainian grain. Since then, the Kremlin has not only threatened ships that want to visit Ukraine, but has also bombed the Ukrainian ports of Odesa and Izmail on a daily basis.

The UN is doing everything it can to restore the agreement. Not to help Ukraine, but because almost three percent (725,000 tons) of the now suspended grain exports went to the UN World Food Program.

A secret letter from UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, which was obtained by BILD journalists, proposes a grain export agreement, including conditions set by Russia.

The proposal discusses four key aspects:

  1. lifting sanctions against Rosselkhozbank in the EU and allowing the company to use SWIFT.
  2. Insurance of Russian cargo ships in the Black and Azov Seas by British insurer Lloyd’s to support Russian exports.
  3. Partial unfreezing of assets of Russian fertilizer producers in the EU.
  4. Allowing Russian ships carrying food and fertilizers to dock in EU ports in the context of agricultural trade.

According to the newspaper, the Kremlin has not yet approved this proposal, as it considers the terms “too good to be true” and doubts its implementation.
