Under the Sich brand. Ukraine will start production of Czech assault rifles CZ BREN 2 (video)

Ukraine will receive permission to organize the production of Czech CZ BREN 2 rifles in the country.

The information was shared by the Czech Ministry of Defense. This will be one of the flagship joint projects of the Czech Republic and Ukraine. The assault rifles made by Česká zbrojovka will be produced in Ukraine under the Sich brand. In addition, the Czech Republic will help Ukraine to establish ammunition production. Sellier & Bellot will handle the project.

By the way, the Ukrainian military is already using CZ BREN 2 rifles. They were spotted in the hands of the Ukrainian Armed Forces back in June of 2012.

What is known about the Czech rifle

The CZ BREN 2 is an assault rifle developed by the Czech company CZ-UB. It is an improved version of the CZ-805 BREN 5.56mm assault rifle. CZ BREN 2 has a different design and lighter weight. The rifle uses a gas operated system with a short gas piston stroke. This rifle boasts a quick-release barrel. This makes it easy to change its length and caliber. CZ BREN 2 was first shown in 2015. In 2017, it was adopted by the army of the Czech Republic.
