US National Security Advisor Jacob Sullivan confirms that the White House is allowing European countries to start training Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighter jets.
He said this in an interview with CNN.
“The president has given the green light, and we will allow, support, facilitate and provide all the necessary tools for Ukrainians to start training to pilot F-16s as soon as the Europeans are ready,” Sullivan said.
He also reminded that European countries need several weeks to prepare for the start of pilot training. Sullivan added that the US will meet any deadline it sets.
