US State Department advises Zelensky to be more open with people and allies on war coverage

Against the backdrop of political problems in Ukraine, James Rubin, head of the Center for Global Engagement at the State Department, gently hints to Zelenskyy to be more open with Ukrainian society and allies in informing them about the war.

According to him, “sometimes the Ukrainian authorities can resist freedom of information, which is normal for us (the West),” while the military, on the contrary, “report things that do not necessarily meet Zelensky’s interests,” Censor.NET writes.

“But in a democratic state, which we hope Ukraine is becoming, they can understand that having war reporters covering the war, even if there is sometimes bad news, is a much better life than the controlled environment that Russia has put its entire people in,” Rubin said.

According to the American official, better access to information about the situation on the battlefield will increase Ukraine’s urgent need for more assistance from its allies.

We would like to remind you that Zelenskyy-Yermak is conducting a total purge of the government and military leadership. Everyone who has at least some media exposure and recognition is fired. Especially in the international arena. Instead, they are appointed people close to Yermak, or those who will do everything on the orders of the president’s office. It also led to an almost complete blocking of truthful information from the frontline. The Armed Forces of Ukraine has a total ban on commenting on anything under the threat of arrest for alleged treason. Only a few independent volunteer units and military correspondents outside the orbit of the President’s office partially report information. The political opposition is intimidated and closed inside the country. Pressure on business is increasing.

Also, recently, a draft law on Servants of the People appeared, which proposed to imprison for life anyone who could represent Ukraine in the international arena. That is, from volunteers and the military to diplomats, unless it is agreed with the Presidential Office. Ukraine’s diplomatic corps, which should be working harder for Ukraine’s interests in the world, has been completely destroyed. The highest government positions are occupied by puppets who do nothing on their own. This led to a very large drop in Ukraine’s rating in the international arena and affected military and financial assistance from other countries. That is why there are more and more reports in Ukraine about the complete usurpation of power by Zelenskyy-Yermak and the path to a total Russian-style dictatorship.
