Who “leaked” the location of the Russian Black Sea Fleet headquarters in Sevastopol, which was attacked by Ukraine – the media found out the answer

Russian officers, in exchange for a financial reward, provided information about the location of the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in occupied Sevastopol, which was shelled by Ukraine.

This was reported by the Kyiv Post, referring to the ATESh guerrilla movement in Crimea.

“Delays in payments alone do not force the military armed forces of the Russian Federation to go against the Russian authorities,” said the spokesman for the guerrilla group.

He added that those who help them also believe that their country is “waging a criminal war and that it needs to stop.”

“However, the financial reward only helps them decide whether they want to cooperate with our movement, it serves as an additional incentive,” the spokesman emphasized.

ATES did not disclose the amount of money the Russian officers received, but said it was enough to cover the risks for the officers and their families.

As a reminder, Ukraine has officially confirmed that the commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, Admiral Viktor Sokolov, was killed in a strike on the headquarters in Sevastopol. According to Defense Express, Russia has lost its fleet commander for the first time since 1904.
