Xiaomi announced the release of a new energy-saving and affordable air conditioner Mijia
“Xiaomi has enriched its line of smart home assistants with the Mijia Air Conditioner Pro 1.5 HP. The presentation of the new product took place the day before in China.
The new member of the Mijia family boasts the following features and capabilities:
- APF 5.65 energy efficiency with annual energy savings of up to 361 kWh;
- fast cooling and heating in 30 and 60 seconds, respectively;
- low (18 dB) noise level;
- ability to operate at extreme temperatures (heating mode down to -35°C, cooling mode up to +65°C);
- intelligent functions of the Lingyun Smart Control Engine;
- OTA updates;
- excellent “health” with 99.9% sterilization, self-cleaning and high-temperature drying;
- fashionable design with a matte panel and a round LED screen (Red Dot Design Award for best visual design);
- a representative set of control functions (Mi Home app, remote control, HyperOS Smart Connect firmware, and voice commands).
Advantages of the new product: efficiency, speed, low noise, reliability, support for intelligent functions, stylish design, convenience and excellent health.
Disadvantages: temporary lack of sales outside of China and possibly higher prices in other markets.
The cost of Mijia Air Conditioner Pro 1.5 HP when purchased in China in yuan and in terms of US dollars is ¥2399 (about $332).
At the moment, the home assistant is available for purchase in China exclusively on a pre-order basis. The date of the global version will be announced later.
