Zelensky dismissed Zaluzhnyi from the post of the Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief – sources

On the evening of January 29, it became known that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhny, was dismissed from his post. This decision was made by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

This was stated by former MP Boryslav Bereza. This information was confirmed by OBOZ.UA’s sources in Zaluzhny’s team.

“My sources from the President’s Office told me that Zaluzhnyi was dismissed from the post of Chief of Staff! I really want this information to be denied. I really do. But this is the second source,” Bereza said.

It should be emphasized that there is no official information on the dismissal of Valeriy Zaluzhnyi from the post of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Amid persistent rumors of strained relations between President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Armed Forces Chief Valeriy Zaluzhnyy, official Kyiv is trying to clarify this alleged conflict. On December 5, advisor to the head of the Presidential Office Mykhailo Podolyak said that there were no grounds to talk about the general’s resignation, as he was clearly fulfilling his functions.

Earlier, a scandal erupted online after Mariana Bezuhla, a member of the Servant of the People party, suggested that Zaluzhnyi be fired because of his alleged incompetence in his position.
