Zoom introduces its own AI-powered office suite Zoom Docs
Zoom has announced the release of Zoom Docs, a suite of office programs with artificial intelligence tools.
The new product is designed to compete with Google Docs and other collaboration services. Among the features of the package:
- integration with the Zoom meeting function;
- AI capabilities for creating, editing documents and summarizing discussions during video conferences;
- tools for collaboration, project management, and team organization;
- support for tables, diagrams, and images.
According to Zoom founder Eric Yuan, Zoom Docs won’t be a complete replacement for other tools, but it will make it easier to switch between applications during meetings.
Zoom Docs is scheduled to be released in spring 2024. The exact date and cost are still unknown.
Zoom Docs will be an extension of the recently announced Zoom AI Companion service, which generates content for documents based on other sources.
